A Man has been Arrested for Allegedly killing his wife during a domestic dispute

A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his 24-year-old wife during a dispute concerning food for breaking the Ramadan fast.
The incident occurred in the Fadaman-Mada area of Bauchi State, according to a statement released by the Police Command spokesman, CSP Ahmed Wakil.
CSP Wakil reported that the disagreement over food ingredients and fruits escalated, leading to the husband purportedly assaulting his wife with a cane.
She reportedly collapsed and lost consciousness within their home,and the victim was rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, where she was confirmed dead by the medical personnel.
The police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the case, with the suspect currently in custody.
The cane allegedly used in the assault has been recovered as evidence, and the deceased has been moved to a mortuary pending an autopsy.
Commissioner of Police Auwal Musa emphasized the Police Command’s commitment to justice, stating that domestic violence is a serious offense with significant repercussions.
He reassured the public of the command’s dedication to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens while holding those who commit criminal acts accountable.
