A Boeing 737 aircraft operated by Max Air experienced a tyre burst while landing at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport on Tuesday night.
The aircraft, identified by the registration number 5N-MBD, was carrying 53 passengers at the time of the incident, which occurred around 10:47 PM.
Initial reports indicate that the tyre caught fire upon landing, causing the aircraft to skid off the runway. Fortunately, the airline management has confirmed that the tyres deflated without any loss of life reported.
Further investigations are expected to clarify the circumstances surrounding this event.
