Governor Bago Presents Certificate of Occupancy to DG NITDA for Establishment of Regional Office in Minna

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, also known as the Farmer Governor, has allocated a parcel of land to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) for the establishment of its regional office in Minna.
Governor Bago presented the Certificate of Occupancy to the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, in Abuja.
He emphasized the importance of information technology for the overall growth and development of society, noting that his administration is committed to keeping pace with technological advancements in line with global best practices.
The creation of the State’s Ministry of Communication Technology and Digital Economy reflects his desire to enhance the technological landscape of Niger State.
Director General Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi expressed gratitude for the Farmer Governor’s efforts to promote the growth and development of the Agency in Nigeria.
He also shared plans for NITDA to establish a Center of Excellence for Agricultural Technology in the state.
NITDA is a public service institution established by the NITDA Act of 2007, serving as the ICT policy implementation arm of the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Economy.
Part of the Agency’s mandate is to create a framework for planning, research, development, application, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and regulation of information technology practices and systems in Nigeria.
