Governor Umaru Bago Attends the Turbaning of New Galadiman Nupe, DCG Aliyu Galadima RTD.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago joined thousands of well-wishers at the Palace of the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, for the turbaning ceremony of the new Galadiman Nupe, DCG Aliyu Galadima Saidu (Rtd).
Governor Umaru Bago praised the new Galadiman Nupe as an exemplary individual during his years in the Nigeria Customs Service.
He expressed gratitude to the Etsu Nupe for honoring an esteemed son of Bida and emphasized that the Galadiman Nupe is a true ambassador of the Nupe Kingdom.
The governor expressed optimism that the Galadiman Nupe would provide the necessary support to the Etsu Nupe for the overall growth and development of the Nupe Kingdom and Niger State as a whole.
He also acknowledged the Etsu Nupe’s efforts to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Nupe Kingdom.
In his remarks, Etsu Nupe Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar extolled the virtues of the new Galadiman Nupe, describing him as a role model for many.
He explained that the title of Galadiman Nupe was conferred upon DCG Saidu (Rtd) due to his integrity and generosity, expressing hope that he would continue his humanitarian service to the people of the Kingdom and beyond.
In their separate goodwill messages, DCP Abdullahi Babani and Sarkin Kudun Gombe Abdulrasheed Aliyu noted that the title of Galadiman Nupe is well-deserved for DCG Saidu (Rtd), affirming that he is a trustworthy individual.
Other dignitaries present at the event included Niger State Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba, former Governor of Bauchi State Muhammad Abubakar, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, and members of the House of Representatives Abdullahi Idris Garba and Saidu Musa Abdullahi, who represent the Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu and Bida/Katcha/Gbako constituencies, respectively, among others.
