Pension board to commence payment of batch 8 gratuity soon, refund of 7.5 on the top gear
The Director general, Niger stste Pension Board, Malam Nasiru Saidu Namaska has reaffirmed that he would continue to abide by the lay down condition by the farmer Governor,Mohammed Umaru Bago on the first come,first to be served process of payment of gratuity to the retirees in the state.
He stated this during the flag off ceremony of disbursement of cheques to the batch seven beneficiaries yesterday at the Pension board premises Minna.
Malam Nasiru Namaska maintained that first come, first to be served is a standard been set by the farmer Governor Umaru Bago and he has promised to uphold “you can see the payment is going on smoothly and peacefully as planned by the Governor farmer Bago so we are going to maintain the standard”.
He maintained that no retiree would be let out of the exercise, assuring that any person who did not see his / her name in the batch he belongs might be because of little hitch and once rectified the name will appear in the next batch he assured.
He further used the forum to inform retirees in the state that in January 2025 pension board will commence verification exercise tagged ‘AM ALIVE’ according to him all retirees during the verification exercise will be expected to go to any bank of their choice to update his or her particular to enable the board know he still exists and not dead to enable him continue enjoying his monthly pension.
He also assured that Governor Farmer Umar Bago has made fund available and batch eight will be ready for payment soon, “as am talking to you now we have finished compilation of the list of batch eight and any moment from tomorrow the names will be out for payment’.
Malam Nasiru then called on retirees in the state to register with the Retiree Medical Insurance Package Under NiCare
According to him the platform which has just been officially launched is a medical initiative designed to provide essential support to retirees in the State.
He further disclosed that the refund of 7.5 contributory pension is still ongoing and assured those who have made contributions that they will definitely get their refund.
He appealed to those yet to be refunded to exercise patience as soon their PFN finished the compilations, definitely they will get their refund.
