Coalition of Shiroro Association appeals to President Tinubu to re-deploy Military personnel to Allawa (Lakpma).
Coalition of Shiroro Association (COSA) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to as matter of urgent redeploy military personnel to Lakpma in Shiroro local government area of Niger state.
The Secretary of the association, Saidu Salihu while briefing Newsmen in Minna, said the appeal had become necessarily because almost all the inhabitants in the area have been displaced and are now refugees in Kuta, Gwada, and Erena IDP camps without means of livelihoods and shelter.
Saidu Salihu stated that inhabitants from the affected communities have been forced to abandoned their farlands and ancestral homes for fear of being killed or kidnapped, adding that recently not fewer than twelve people were brutally killed on their farmland in unguwan Mai-Gero in Manta ward of Shiroro local government area.
He further stated that, it is discomfiting and heart rending,in the mist of intense security crises that the Nigeria Army decided to withdraw their troops from Allawa community without any prio notice, leaving the inhabitants at the mercy of terrorists.
He then called on the Niger state Governor, Rt Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago to make sure Military Personnel are re-deployed to the area to enable farmers go back to their farmlands, ” Our governor who has proudly positioned himself as the “Farmer Governor”, must recognize that without security, these ambitions may not come to fruition, he added.
