Special adviser labour matters applauds Gov. Bago for the settlement of gratuity.
The Special adviser to the Farmer Governor Umar Bago on Labour matters, Comrade Labaran Garba has applauds the Niger state government for the disbursement of five hundred million Naira to effect the payment of retirement benefits of retirees,said it would bring relief to the lives of the state’s senior citizens.
The Special Adviser ,Comrade Labaran Garba who made the assertion in Minna,also reiterated the Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s resolve to give priority attention to the welfare and lives of retirees in the state.
” The Governor’s decision he noted,is a positive indication of the responsive leadership that the state had been yearning for ”.
The Special Adviser on labour matters,disclosed that this first disbursement,would cover payments to 335 retirees,while efforts is been intensified to sustain the initiative to ensure it gets to all retirees in subsequent batches.
Comrade Labaran Garba, therefore enjoined retirees who are yet to benefit, to exercise patience with government.
He appreciated the commitment,and support, of the leadership of the labour unions in the state, to the various state government’s policies,aimed at birthing a New Niger.
He maintained that, this support,has spurred the government to prioritise the welfare of both serving and retired civil servants in the state.
Comrade Labaran Garba,then called on civil servants to key into Farmer Governor,Mohammed Umar Bago’s green economy initiative and his Agricultural Revolution in the state.
The Special Adviser on labour matters,also urged Nigerlites to continue to support the adminstration of the State’s farmer Governor,and shun all actions that would truncate his vision and commitment to a New Niger.
