FGC Minna tasks Parents to Cooperate with School management to attain set objectives.
Federal Government College (FGC)Minna has held its 2023/2024 academic session’s speech and prize-Giving ceremony, with a called on parents to corporate with the school management to enable it succeed in her set objectives.
The Graduation and prize giving ceremony for the class of 2024 had in attendance, parents, teachers and dignitaries from within and outside the state, held at the school multi-purpose hall. Tunga Goro. Minna.
Speaking at the ceremony,the Director principal of federal Government College FGC Minna, Alhaji Sirajo Darda’u said the school authority understands the needs that parents have in their search for quality education for their wards, noted that the management position themselves to be the ones who meet that needs.
The Director said their staff are relentless in their bid to give the children the best they deserve from the school.
Alhaji Sirajo who commended the school ‘s Parents Teachers Association (PTA) for cooperation and dedication, stressing that functional facilities are also available to help ensure that their environment is top notch for the education of their children.
Also speaking, a old Boy of the school and former speaker Niger state House of Assembly, Honorable Ahmed marafa Guni who spoke extensively on the falling standard of education in the society, stressing that it’s a collective responsibility of parents and teachers to remedy the situation by monitoring their children on the use of social media.
Honourable marafa therefore called on the school authority and parents to monitor their children against joining bad pairs as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
In their separate remarks, the chairman of the occasion and a permanent secretary, ministry of Nomadic and Pastoral Affairs, Alhaji Saliyu Muhammad Alfa, and school PTA chairman, musa Abuba Bawa Uregi all commended management of the school for inculcating good morals and learning to the children.
Highlights of the occasion were presentation of prizes to students who excelled in their classes, brief lecture, debate and cultural dance.
