It was prayers, pleasantries of praise and melodious of Thanksgiving to the glory of God,during the new year celebration by the sons and daughters of the Kutigi Anglican Diocese in Lavun local government areas of Niger state.
In his good will message to the people of the Diocese, Bishop,Rt Rev,Jeremiah Ndana Kolo,reminded the people the need to give thanks to God for passing through numerous pains and challenges in 2023 and still be amongst the living in 2024.
The prayer session was lead by the Bishop of the Diocese, Rt RevJeremiah Ndana Kolo, while Mama Bishop anchored the songs of praise by the Mothers Union who testifies the significance and manifestation of God in the life of the people in the Kutigi Anglican Diocese within the state and Nigeria at Large.
The call for worship which was held at the main bowl of the Cathedral Church of StJhon’s, Anglican Diocese of Kutigi, Bishop Jeremiah prayed for devine intervention of God to continue to show favour and mercies to Nigeria Nation and guide leaders to implement policies for the well-being of Nigerians.
The Bishop also reminded the congregation to imbibe the teachings in Psalm 121 that it is only the creator of heaven and earth that we all look on to,”I look up to the hills,but where will my help comes from,my help will come from the Lord.” This signifies that in any situation we found ourselves only God can deliver us.
“It is time we renew our ways with God,We have no option than to praise God for all he has been doing in our life,despite our disobedience and our attitudes towards one another, worshipping God in our life in truth is the only way to get to the Kingdom of God”, Bishop Ndana re en-enphasis.
Also speaking shortly after the activities to mark the New year celebration the elders of the Diocese, Mr Peter Abu and Mr Modacai Ladan who is also the Majinko NUPE, thank God for keeping them to see the year 2024 in good health prayed for Divine peace in the country.
