Niger State Gov. tasked NDDC on planting tree to balance ecosystem.
The Governor of Niger state, RT. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago has called on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to join the crusade of planting trees to balance the ecosystem.
Governor Bago stated this when he participated in a sideline event organized by the NDDC at the ongoing 28th Annual United Nations Climate meeting tagged COP28UAE, in Dubai.
In a Press Statement made available by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,Ibrahim Bologi said the Governor highlighted the numerous steps in understanding the effect of climate change to humanity and recommended ways to address the global challenge.
He equally advocated that Companies coming to invest, to help in making sure that capacities in afforestation are increased to reduce emission which would in the long run resort to alternative use of energy.
He stated that Governor Bago further briefed participants how Niger State government under his leadership is taking a giant stride in planting of trees as a measure of addressing climate change
