Gbeganu Community in Minna raises alarm over strenge faces roaming in the community.
Following the recent security operatives reportedly raid of a Kidnapper sect member’s house at Gebganu area in Chanchaga local government area of Niger State leading to recovery of 150 AK47 rifles, over 3,000 live ammunitions, explosives, a rocket launcher and Anti-aircraft rifle from the house.
The residents of Gbeganu community and environs have been leaving in fears as different strenge faces are always seen roaming around the community at early hours of morning and evening periods.
A resident of the area who doesn’t want his name mentioned raises the alarm while speaking to Prestige FM Minna, said the people of the area are not longer sleeping with their two eyes closed.
One of the resident also called on the Niger state government, security agencies and relevant stakeholders to urgently come to their aide by ensuring periodic surveillance to get rid of the criminal elements to allow peace and tranquility reign in the community.
Wakilin Nupawa of Gbeganu community, Malam Baba Umaru in an interview disclosed that the presence of new faces in the area is causing panic amongst the people of the community and called for prompt intervention while appealing to Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies not to abandoned the area to their faith.
Baba Umaru maintained that the community lacked adequate portable water supply, better access roads and standard healthcare facilities, however appealed to the state government for the provision of social amenities to enhanced socio-economic development of the area.
