Gov. Bago tasks New couple to emulate Holy Prophet in their Marriage life.
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has advised the Chairman of Mokwa Local Government Council Jibrin Abdullahi Muregi and his newly wedded bride Mallama Amina Ahmed to live their marriage lives according to the teachings of the Quran and Hadith.
The Governor gave the advice when he stood as the father of the bride at the wedding Fatiha of the couple held at the
Bride’s family residence in Tunga Low Cost, Minna.
Governor Umaru Bago who prayed for the blessings of Allah upon the marriage, also wished them a peaceful and joyful home.
The Wedding Fatiha which was graced by many guests from within and outside the State was presided over by the Chief Imam of Bida, Sheikh Adamu Yakatun.
He pronounced the couple Husband and Wife following the payment of N50,000 Naira at the bride price by the Groom’s representatives.
The Chief Imam thereafter prayed for a blissful union and urged them to build their matrimonial home in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
Some of the dignitaries at the Wedding Fatiha were Niger State Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, immediate past Deputy Governor, Ahmed Mohammed Ketso, Senator Bima Enagi, members of the State House of Assembly, and Chanchaga Council Chairman among others
The Etsu Nupe also sent a delegation which included the Shaba Nupe and Kpotun Nupe as well as the Makun Nupe.
