Cosmetics can cause Kidney diseases or Psychological defect _ Dr Saleh Zayyanu.

The Head of Hospital Services, General Hospital Mokwa , Doctor Saleh Zayyanu made this known while speaking to Nigeria Daily Post Correspondent at his minna resident , sees cosmetics as substances and procedures that individuals use to enhance their physical well being can cause health damage.
According to him Some of the widely acceptable cosmetic in the various culture are nose and ears peasing and there are substances that are applied to enhance beauty or cover defects
Doctor Zayyanu stressed that medically there are procedures done to enhance some one’s physical appearance which would be looked in two different ways, first medical procedure where an individual applied a particular substance to a part of the body and the second one is surgical procedure that involves modifying a part of the body, all the above are peculiar to all culture adding that what is acceptable in one culture might not be in another culture.
He gave example of Iranians whom particular go for nose surgery which is considered as status symbol despite it’s an Islamic country which is generally accepted,down to African countries there is peasing of nose and ears
Doctor Zayyanu explained that the skin can suffer errusion of its natural protection which can expose individual body parts to a lot of problems noting that some of these substance can cause allergic reaction which leads to unintended conscious that could be serious and needs medical attention
He stressed that some of the consequences can see absolved in the body even though they are made for the skin such as heavy metals have been increaminated in causing problem in human body for using certain cosmetics such as mercury which is found in a particular soap called Tura, it used to make skin lighter, and it was discovered to have contained mercury which cause kidney disease
Another one contained led and led affect the central nervous system
Cosmetics as products intended to be applied to the human body for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness or altering the appearance with out affecting the body structure or functions
