WE HAVE NO DOUBT ON GOVERNOR BAGO’ PROMISE-SAYS NIGER PENSIONERS.

Pensioners in Niger State have expressed optimisms on the promised made by governor Mohammed Umaru Bago to commence payment of their retirement benefit by October,2023.
The Chairman,Retirees Pressure Group,and also Chairman,Joint Action Committee,Mr Daniel Stephen Zitta,disclosed this to journalists shortly after he addressed members of the group on the outcome of the meeting between governor Umaru Bago and state officials of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, along side officials of (RPG),held at U.K.Bello Art Theatre,Minna yesterday.
Zitta informed his colleagues that
in no distance time between the month of October, government will role out templates for the commencement of retirement benefits to retired civil servants.
His words,”I most admit that Governor Bago took over the state and met empty treasury, therefore,I am appealing to my colleagues to pray fervently for the governor to succeed in all his urban renewal policies”
“The governor is a visionary leader,and we need to support him in all ramifications,he added,one thing I like with Bago,he always addressed us,the retiree’s, my father’s”.Zita said.
The Retiree’s Pressure Group leader revealed that the state government has contracted the services of consultancy firm to find out the actual number of retired civil servants both at the state and local government level,noting that,very soon,every pensioner in the state would have course to smile.
He however reminded the governor to extend the distribution of palliatives to retiree’s,as most of them are confronted with challenges,ranging from poor health and inability to cater for their immediate family.
Mr Stephen Zitta also lauded Governor Bago for approving the payment of salary percentage owed the local government workers across the state.
