NDE Trains 50 Youth, Women On Small Scale Goat Production in Niger.
National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has flag- off the training of 50 unemployed youth and women with innovative skills on small stock goat production along its value chain in Niger state.
The NDE Director General, Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo represented the state Coordinator, Alhaji Mohammed Dantsoho Abubakar during the event held in Minna, a total of 600 are participating in 11 states including FCT under the Rural Employment Promotion (REP) department.
He stated that scheme will in no small measure impact on the unemployment rates by making them actively equip with the requisite knowledge for successful business in goat production.
Dantsoho explained that in an effort by the federal government drive to move millions our of poverty, the agency has identified a lot of demand driven labour skills in technical, vocational, domestic, entrepreneurial and agricultural enterprises among unemployed youths searching for employment.
Director of Rural Employment Promotion (REP) department, Edem Duke represented by Faith Uwaneze urged participants to actively involved in the training and strictly obey the ground rules to equip themselves with the required knowledge to be self employed and reliant.
