Niger assembly laud commissioner nominee, describes him as peace builder
The Speaker of Niger House of Assembly, Mr Abdulmalik Sarkindaji, has lauded Honourable Ibrahim Mami- Ijah, a commissioner nominee for being a peace builder in the state.
He said this during the screening exercise of commissioner nominees sent to the assembly by the state governor for screening and confirmation in Minna on Wednesday.
Ibrahim Mami-Ijah is a former chairman of Tafa local government area of the state.
Sarkindaji described the commissioner nominee as grassroot politician and a man of peace who during his tenure as a council chairman contributed immensely to the growth and development of the state.
“One good good thing about Mami-Ijah is that, he is a man of peace and a strong grassroot politician, during his tenure as chairman he embraced everyone,” he said.
Also, Malam Mohammed Idris, (APC-Tafa), lauded the development stride of Mami-Ijah which brought about peace and tranquility in Tafa council area.
Idris disclosed the commissioner nominee as councilor in the council in 2004 spearhead the formation of vigilantee group in Suleja emirate.
Idris, however, moved a motion seeking the support of his colleague to allow the commissioner nominee to take a bow and leave and was seconded by Mr Abubakar Gomna APC-Bosso.
