NYCN laments increase of drug addiction in Society

The New chairman of the National council of youth, Niger state Chapter, Amb.Abdullahi Ishaq Kuta, regrets the increase syndrome of drug addiction in some families, saying his emergence is to create a new reform into the society.
He said the youth council will collaborate with government, stakeholders and elders to ensure that such barbaric acts is reduced amongst the family members.
” My emergence is to create a new dimension into the society particularly youth wings to reduce restiveness in youth to the bearest minimum.”
Amb Ishaq Kuta,said the Union which came into being since 1964 was given legal backing in 1990 now have representatives nation wide spread to regional, state have now transended into grassroots levels.
According to the Chairman in line with the National youth policy and based on the happenings in Niger state,his administration have come up with an agenda tagged “SEE”which is to touch every aspect of youth idleness.
Ambassador Abdullahi define the agenda as social economic reforms, Education and employment,enterprenurship and empowerment,we are looking at how we can reform the thinking faculty of our teaming youth to be self dependent by adding values to themselves and to the society at large.
“We are working on how youth should shun political thugry,drug addiction and also fight the women group who tagged themselves”coodinated ladies group who are drug addictors specialized in addiction of cordine syrup”.
“It is unfortunate that both husband and wife are into drug addiction, very sad, very embarrassing,and on call for to see a home engage in such barbaric acts.”
Abdullahi however said the youth council will collaborate with the government, police and NDLEA to sensitized couples to shun drug addiction.
He disclosed that plans under way to host the international youth day on the 12th of August in Minna involving all the youth coordinators in the 25 local government areas of the state.
