The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Alh. Ahmed Mohammed Ketso has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the smooth accreditation of voters and the voting process.

The Deputy Governor who casted his vote at about 9:30am at the Ketso polling unit number 010, at the Junior Secondary School Ketso in Mokwa local government area of the state, said this was the fastest voting process he had ever witnessed in the history of Nigeria.

He said it was the first time he had witness a fast election as this in Nigeria, having done his accreditation and voting in less than a minute, and commended INEC for the new technology introduced.

“I want to appreciate the Independent National Electoral Commission for this new innovation that added value to the credibility of the election and by so doing it will give us the required result at the end of the day,” said the Deputy Governor.

He observed that the 2023 general election was historic because it was an election that will usher in new government, adding that it was a milestone that will further solidify the cooperate existence and unity of Nigeria as a nation.

The Deputy Governor who is equally the state Coordinator of Tinubu-Shettima Grassroot Independent Campaign Council (ICC) said we all owe the country alot by participating in the election and choose those that will lead us, urging Nigerians and particularly Nigerlites to exercise their civic right by going out to vote just as he did and devoid of any crisis.

The Deputy Governor casted his vote alongside his Second Wife, Hajiya Maryam Mohammed Ketso, at about 9:30am.

The Presiding Officer (PO) of the polling unit, Garba Suleiman said the process was smooth and hitch-free and that they have no any challenge, not even with the new technology, the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).
