ADP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE TASKS PRESIDENT BUHARI TO GO AFTER THOSE BEHIND THEFT OF N 79 TRILLION.
Presidential Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Engr. Yusuf Yabagi Sani has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to go all out for those alleged to have been involved in the theft of the said N79 trillion recently discovered in possession of some commercial banks.
Engr. Y.Y Sani noted that the only way the president could be seen to be tackling corruption is to get those people fingered in the theft of the money arrested and prosecuted so that Nigerians will take him serious in the fight against corruption.
According to the Presidential hopeful, the level of corruption under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari could best be described as monumental calling on him to bring those involved to face the full wrath of the law “or his fight against corruption is all a mirage.”
Addressing newsmen at a press briefing in Minna Monday, Engr Yabagi Sani pointed out that for some groups of cabals in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to engage in corrupt practice is so heartbreaking and worrisome.
He decried on how some few individuals in President Buhari’s government have taken into corruption as a normal business of the day stressing the need for the President to as a matter of integrity and morality call for their arrest in the interest of the generality of Nigerians.
“The President should call for the arrest of those fingered in the theft of the N79 trillion, he knows them.
“The banks where these monies were domiciled were identified as First bank and Zenith Bank; NNPC was also mentioned.
“I don’t want to believe that the president is not aware of these characters around him.
“What we have is the ineptitude of some cabals under his watch and we can’t continue to pay for ineptitude of these people enough is enough” he told journalists.
Engr. Sani then called on the president to urgently get those involved in the monumental theft arrested and prosecuted to get himself and his administration clean from being seen as accomplice in the scam.
“By bringing them to book will vindicate him and it will further make Nigerians to have absolute confidence in his onslaught against corrupt public office holders in his administration” he said.
