My traditional tittle will take me closer to my people–+says Gatan Gwandu

The Newly Gatan Gwandu Alhaji Farouk Umar Kuru has expressed appriciation to the Emir of Gwandu Alhaji Eliyasu Bashir for the honoring him with the traditional tittle as Gatan Gwandu.
Speaking to our correspondents yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, while expressing appreciation message to the emirate council, Kebbi State Governor Senator Atiku Abubakar, stakeholders, friends, families members and well wishers over the support and Cooperation towards the success recorded during and after the ceremony.
“As the first Gatan Gwandu and now be part of the emirate council members, I promise to be loyal and committed to the traditional rulers activities’ he said.
The Gwandu Emirate who is the largest emirates in Kebbi State, turbaned and give out tradition tittle to no fever than 15 personalities including the Igbo Chief last Saturday in the State.
The ceremony which took place at the Emir of Gwandu palace on Saturday and was witness by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, Alhassan Ado Dogowa the majority leader and former Governors, Politicians, Kebbi State APC Governorship candidate Dr Nasiru Idris Kaura Gwandu, Alhaji Ibrahim Bagudu a business man and Minister across the country.
The Emir of Gwandu Alhaji Muhammad Illiyasu Bashar who gave out traditional titles to a son of the souls including Alhaji Farouk Umar Kuru as Gatan Gwandu and others described all the title as a symbol of unity in the society.
Delivery his Remarks, The Emir who is also the Chairman, Kebbi State Council of traditional ruler, said that his decision was to forster unity among the people.
The Monarch then admonished all the people of the Emirate to cooperate with each other and move the gwandu emirate council forward.
” I equally called on the newly traditional title holders to be dedicated to their duties as they are now the representatives of the Emirate Council, Kebbi State people and Nigeria as a all” he said
Gatan Gwandu who also express appreciation over the title adding that the tittle will bring him closer to the people’s in the Communitie.
‘my conferment would motivate me to redouble my efforts on humanitarian services, health, environmental and career counselling for youths and other relevant support’ he added.
“From now on, we shall continue to be discharging our services to the Emirate and Emir of Gwandu’. All the support services we are rendering, either through my business and NGO, we are going to redouble it.”
