NUT, NIGER STATE WING ORGANIZES ONE DAY INDUCTION COURSE FOR SWEC MEMBERS IN MINNA.

The Nigeria Union of Teachers, Niger state wing has organized a one day Induction course for the state Wing Executive council members of the Union at the Labaran Garba International Conference center, Teachers House Tugan Goro,Minna, with a call for the members to take adquate advantage of the course.
The State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Comrade Adamu Mohammed Akayago stated that the Cardinal objective of the Induction course is to update members on the current leadership styles and procedures towards better working understanding, between employees and employer’s.
The Chairman Comrade Akayago stressed that as trade Union leader’s it is imperative to engage in training programmes that would build our intellectual capacity with the view to understand the dynamics and the challenges facing the union with the vision to addressing them.
He said that the topic’s for discussion were carefully chosen,he tasks the participants to exhibits high sense of decorum and make maximum use of the opportunity of the presentation and discussion that would come during the Technical session.
The Chairman then Commends the resource person’s for their contribution adding that it will go a long way to improve on the participants knowledge for better service delivery to the entire members of Union.
The Deputy Secretary General of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Comrade Ango Adamu, presented the lead paper at induction course title, Effective management and Governance of Nigeria Union of Teachers, Trade Union perspectives.
Comrade Yusuf Ladan presented the second paper with the title Trade Union resolution and procedures, paper presentation on the topic Collective Bargaining was done by Com. Engr. Aminu Yusuf, while, Comrade Labaran Garba Principal Assistant Secretary General gave brief presentation on NUT Welfare Scheme and meeting procedure’s, Correspondence and Record keeping.
