Wali Nupe donates N11m for renovation of GOPC in FMC Bida

A community leader in Bida, Niger, retired Justice Abdullahi Mustapha, has donated N11million for the renovation of the General Outpatient Clinics at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Bida, Niger.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the donor, retired Justice Mustapha, a former Chief Judge of Federal High Court had since released N5 million as the first instalment of the gesture.
This was in fulfillment of his pledge to sponsor a project of not more than N10 million in the centre as his personal contribution to the development of the community and humanity in general.
The renovation project is estimated to cost about N11.5million, with the management of the hospital augmenting the balance of N1.5million.
The Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Abubakar Usman, commended the Wali Nupe for his kind gesture, which he described as unprecedented in the history of its community relations.
He called on other philanthropists in the community to emulate him, assuring that the work will be ecellently executed.
Abdullahi is a member of the League of Friends of the hospital.
