Governor Bago Mediates Dispute, Names Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa as APC Niger East Consensus Candidate.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago successfully mediated a political conflict between Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, representing Niger East, and Barrister Bello Bawa Bwari, former Director General of the National Biosafety Management Agency.
Both candidates sought the Senate seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During a strategic meeting at the Government House in Minna, attended by key leaders including Deputy Yakubu Garba, APC North Central Zone Vice Chairman, Alh. Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, and the APC State Chairman, a consensus was reached under Governor Bago’s chairmanship.
The agreement designates the incumbent senator as the APC’s consensus candidate for the 2027 general elections in Niger East.
This resolution underscores Governor Bago’s commitment to fostering peace, political stability, and internal democracy within the APC.
It is expected to bolster the party’s chances in the upcoming elections, demonstrating unity and a dedication to democratic principles.
