GSS Minna Class of 1998 Celebrates Sallah with School Staff
The alumni of Class of 1998 marked the Sallah festivities by engaging with the staff of Father J. D. O’Connell Secondary School on the school premises.
The event commenced with the school principal emphasizing the significance of the visit. He welcomed the alumni and highlighted the school’s progress as well as ongoing challenges.
Dr. Abdulkareem Abubakar, the Chairman of the delegation, reiterated the purpose of the visit, which included fostering alumni reunion and assessing the school’s current state. He expressed the intention to mobilize resources to refurbish the school infrastructure and update scientific equipment.
Hon. Mohammed Tako, Secretary of the Chanchaga Local Government Council and a fellow alumnus, also expressed appreciation to all attendees.
He pledged his support, along with that of his colleagues, to enhance educational standards in line with efforts by Niger State Governor, Dr. Farmer Umar Bago.
The alumni and staff concluded their visit by inspecting various facilities, including the school library, halls, and classrooms, with the aim of identifying areas for refurbishment.
