Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago Inaugurates Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Niger State, Emphasizes Grassroots Engagement
The Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has formally inaugurated the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in the state, charging members of the group to demonstrate commitment, discipline, and diligence in carrying out their responsibility of engaging Nigerians and responding to issues affecting their welfare.
The inauguration ceremony, which featured the 25 Local Government Coordinators and the State Media Director, took place at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Minna.
Governor Bago described the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative as a visionary and strategic programme initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that it serves as a foundational structure for sustained political engagement and the build-up toward the 2027 APC presidential campaign.
While congratulating the newly inaugurated coordinators, the Governor explained that their appointments were based on proven integrity, competence, and past performance. He urged them to work tirelessly in mobilizing and sensitizing citizens across the state, assuring them that necessary resources would be made available to support their outreach and problem-solving efforts.
The Governor further clarified that the State-level have appointed Local Government Coordinators, who are expected to subsequently appoint Ward and Unit Coordinators to ensure effective grassroots penetration and achievement of set objectives.
Reaffirming his administration’s full backing of the initiative, Governor Bago approved the acquisition of an office complex for the group and announced the provision of a bus and an SUV Prado to enhance their operational capacity.
In his remarks, the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Niger State, Mallam Mohammed Nma Kolo, assured Nigerlites of the group’s readiness to embark on an intensive sensitization and advocacy campaign.
According to him, the initiative will focus on enlightening citizens on the achievements of the Federal Government and the need to sustain the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Mallam Kolo noted that the quality and experience of the appointed coordinators reflect the seriousness of the mission ahead, adding that the team will commence activities immediately, beginning with the inaugural strategy meeting to unveil its action plan.
