By Yahaya Zakka, Minna.
The leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Niger State Wing, mourn the loss of Comrade Abdulmalik Nuhu, who passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026.
In a statement issued by Comrade Umaru Musa Kuta, the State Secretary of NUT Niger State Wing, it was noted that the late Comrade Abdulmalik Nuhu was a pioneer and foundational figure of our union, serving honorably as the first State Secretary from 1979 to 1990.
His dedication to teachers’ welfare, selfless service, and efforts to strengthen a united and robust union laid a firm groundwork that the NUT in Niger State continues to build upon.
He was a disciplined administrator, a principled leader, and a steadfast unionist whose contributions to the growth and stability of the NUT will be remembered in the union’s history.
On behalf of the NUT Niger State Wing, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, rewards his good deeds, and grants him Jannatul Firdaus.
May Allah also give his family and the entire NUT community the strength to endure this irreplaceable loss.
