In a concerning incident, suspected bandits recently attacked the Rijau community, injuring several individuals and stealing cattle.
According to SP Wasiu Abiodun, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Niger State Command, a Crime Bulletin issued to journalists in Minna detailed the situation. The attack prompted a quick response from law enforcement and security teams, leading to a joint operation.
On July 18, 2025, security forces conducted aerial bombardments targeting the bandits around the villages of Yar-Tudu, Marafa, and Awala. This coordinated effort resulted in the successful recovery of a significant number of stolen cattle.
SP Wasiu emphasized that this decisive action highlights the commitment of the Niger State Police Command to maintain safety and order in the region.
