Joint Security Operation Thwarts Bandit Attack and Rescues Stolen Cattle in Rijau Community.

In a concerning incident, suspected bandits recently attacked the Rijau community, injuring several individuals and stealing cattle.

According to SP Wasiu Abiodun, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Niger State Command, a Crime Bulletin issued to journalists in Minna detailed the situation. The attack prompted a quick response from law enforcement and security teams, leading to a joint operation.

On July 18, 2025, security forces conducted aerial bombardments targeting the bandits around the villages of Yar-Tudu, Marafa, and Awala. This coordinated effort resulted in the successful recovery of a significant number of stolen cattle.

SP Wasiu emphasized that this decisive action highlights the commitment of the Niger State Police Command to maintain safety and order in the region.

Following the operation, security operatives will continue to monitor the area closely to address ongoing threats and ensure the well-being of the community.
