APC National Chairman Leads National Working Committee on Condolence Visit to Governor Umaru Bago.
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has been receiving sympathizers following the recent flood disaster in Mokwa.
This time, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, led members of the party’s National Working Committee on a condolence visit to the Governor at the Niger State liaison office in Abuja.
Dr. Ganduje described the flood disaster as an unfortunate and disturbing incident that resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives and significant property damage. He expressed gratitude to Allah for those who survived and prayed for the souls of the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured.
The APC National Chairman also condemned a recent attack by bandits in the Mariga local government area that resulted in further loss of lives. He expressed confidence that the farmer Governor would continue to collaborate with security agencies to improve the security situation.
Noting with concern that Nigeria’s forests have become “big cities for bandits,” Dr. Ganduje commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts under his Renewed Hope agenda to reclaim these areas, emphasizing that such initiatives would help reduce banditry throughout the country.
He further recognized the infrastructural development and ongoing agricultural mechanization initiatives implemented by Governor Bago, praising him as the architect of modern Niger State.
In response, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago expressed his gratitude to the APC National Chairman and his team for their visit, highlighting that it demonstrates empathy and care from a leader. He also thanked Dr. Ganduje for acknowledging the developmental progress in Niger State, emphasizing that it is unprecedented among the sub-national governments in Nigeria.
