Dr. Ezekiel Saidu Condemns Bandit Attack That Claims Lives of Twenty Soldiers in Niger State.

Dr. Ezekiel Saidu Ya’u, the National President of the Kamuku Progressive Union, has strongly condemned the killings of approximately twenty soldiers in the Kwanan Dutse and Gulbin Boka communities of the Mariga Local Government Area.
He labeled the attack as “barbaric and wicked,” calling on the government to take decisive action against the perpetrators to ensure they face the full extent of the law.
In a press statement issued from the union’s headquarters in Minna, the National Public Relations Officer, Mr Jeremiah Daniel Uregi, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life. He noted that these soldiers had served as a vital security presence in Mariga, dedicating themselves to protecting the local community.
“This tragic event is not just a serious catastrophe for the military but also for the state as a whole,” Daniel remarked, highlighting the impact of this violence on both military personnel and the civilian population.
He stressed that this act has raised concerns about security measures in the area and the ongoing struggle against banditry in Niger State. According to him, the incident has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for urgent government intervention.
He urged the state government to increase security presence in the Rafi, Mariga, and Kontagora local government areas to prevent the recurrence of such violence in the future.
