Former Commissioner Appeals to Niger CJ to Intervene in a Halted Civil Case

The former commissioner for Science and Technology, Alhaji Abubakar Katcha
has made a passionate appeal to the Niger State Chief Judge Honorable Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik to urgently intervene in a two version court judgement to enable him continue with his civil case suit No; NSHC/MN/133/ 2023 in High Court three.
Abubakar Katcha made the appeal while speaking to journalists in Minna, saying that he had made an official request for intervention and clarity on two versions of Court judgement of two different Magistrate courts in a criminal case Number MN/CR/105/2019.
He urged the state CJ to protect the reputation of the judiciary by carrying out a thorough investigation into the two court judgments, leading to the current stand still to pursue his civil case accordingly.
Earlier, Alhaji Abubakar Katcha had secured judgment in his favor who was discharged and acquitted by a the Chief magistrate court two sitting in Minna on tenth December, twenty twenty one after two years of the court case between him and former Chief of Staff Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe over criminal case.
The APC foundation member expressed surprise with the appearance of another judgement from the Senor magistrate court six dated on tenth of December, twenty twenty two, Katcha has further written a formal complain to the Niger state branch of Nigeria Bar Association NBA to promptly investigate the antics of lawyers involved to save the image of the bar.
He then sued Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe as the accused who was than the Chief of Staff government house Minna claiming damages worth two billion naira after expiration of right of appeal judgement at the Niger State High Court Three Minna hence the halted case due to the two versions of court judgements despite the appeal to settle out of court.
It could be recalled that the first case started on November, 2019 Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe as plaintiff In a criminal case filed against Alhaji Abubakar Katcha as defendant reported to state Commissioner of Police that he and other person published an injurious statement to insight public interest against the government of the day led by former governor Abubakar Sani Bello.
