Tornadoes Supporters Club hails NNDP Chairman over infrastructure development

Niger Tornados FC Supporters, have commended the Chairman, New Niger Development Project (NNDP), Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar-Bida, for his efforts in executing development projects in the state.
Ibrahim Dantala-Bosso, the Vice Chairman, Niger Tornados Supporters Club, gave the commendation during a courtesy visit on the Chairman of NNDP in his office in Minna on Wednesday.
Alhaji Ibrahim Dantala-Bosso led a delegation from Niger Tornados supporters club on a courtesy visit to the Chairman, New Niger Development Project.
He said that Abubakar- Bida was making Niger citizens proud by opening and developing projects in the state as the Chairman of New Niger Projects.
Dantala-Bosso said that the visit was to appreciate the NNDP Chairman for his positive contributions via development projects in the state.
“We are here to appreciate and commend you, the Chairman, for making Niger State proud and for opening Niger State to the global world in terms of developmental achievements.
“We are grateful of what you have been doing for the betterment of our people ,” he said.
Dantala Bosso also commended Gov. Umar Bago for prioritising sports development in the state.
“Niger Tornados football team players have not been playing at home for over 10 years due to some challenges but with the coming of His Excellency, he has put smiles in our faces.
“His Excellency has also ensured that our stadium is put into standard and the club is returned home; we are grateful to him,” he said.
The Vice Chairman of the Supporters Club said that Niger people were now watching matches at home.
“This is first in the history of the state that the entire technical team of Niger Tornados are Nigerlites.
“The club has 60 per cent indigenes as youths that are playing, it is a good omen in making our youths to discover their hidden talents,” he said
He also disclosed that Niger State had four indigenous coaches handling premier league in the country, this is a plus for the state.
Responding, the Chairman, NNDP Niger State, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar-Bida appreciated the club for the visit and assured them of his continued commitment to the development of the state.
Abubakar-Bida who is also the Sarkin Dawaki Nupe called on the club not to relent in their efforts in mobilizing support for the success of the team.
He also called on them to continue to support Gov. Bago’s administration to succeed and to, as well, pray for the governor to continue to deliver the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
The NNDP chairman said the governor was doing well in the area of Sports, infrastructure development, among others in the state.
Highlight of the visit was the donation of a Team Tornadoes Jerssy to Alhaji Abubakar-Bida for his continued support to the club.
