Agaie LG APC Stakeholders Hold Caucus Meeting, Praise Gov. Bago’s New Niger Agenda

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Agaie Local Government held a caucus meeting where they resolved their differences and commended Governor Mohammed Umar Bago for his statewide transformation efforts through the New Niger Agenda.
Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud (Matawalin Agaie), the member representing the Lapai-Agaie federal constituency, briefed newsmen on the meeting’s outcomes.
The caucus was convened on Sunday at the IBB University guest house in Shango, Minna.
During the meeting, they followed up on Governor Umar Bago’s recent call for party stakeholders to unite in the interest of the APC.
The participants discussed the party’s progress, the development of Agaie, and the Governor’s efforts to transform the state.
After thorough deliberations, the stakeholders were able to mend their differences and committed to working together to support the Governor’s New Niger Agenda.
Hon. Mahmud described Governor Umar Bago as a “Godsend” to the people of Agaie and all Nigerlites, stating that the Governor’s achievements are unprecedented in the state’s history.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Agaie for the road construction, agricultural initiatives, and hospital upgrades, among other developments.
“The Farmer Governor Umar Bago is doing tremendously well. He has accomplished a lot, and it is unprecedented in the history of Niger State.
We, the people of Agaie, along with the APC, want to express our immense appreciation for the road construction, the agricultural revolution, and the improvements in our hospitals,” said the Federal Lawmaker.
He noted that after evaluating the Governor’s performance, they felt comfortable and satisfied with his achievements, which are remarkable in the state’s history.
The Matawalin Agaie also announced that the caucus passed a vote of confidence in the Governor and endorsed him for a second term, emphasizing their commitment to looking beyond the current administration.
“As far as we are concerned in Agaie, he is our Governor for eight years, and we will pray fervently for that,” said Hon. Mahmud.
He encouraged the people of Agaie, regardless of their political affiliation, to embrace the Governor’s New Niger Agenda and support him in building a better Niger State.
Engr. Alfa Abu, a senatorial aspirant in the 2023 general election and a significant stakeholder in Agaie Local Government, stated that the meeting was successful, as it fostered unity among stakeholders who were able to resolve their differences and align their efforts.
“All that the Honorable member said, we stand by. We have endorsed the Governor. If not for the necessity of upholding constitutional provisions, we would have said there is no need for an election,” he added.
Other members of the caucus included current and former elected officials, appointed political officeholders, and party officials from the local government, including the council chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Halilu Sayuti; the Commissioner for Homeland Security, Gen. Bello Muhammad Abdullahi (rtd); and the member representing Agaie constituency in the state assembly, Hon. Isah Mahmud Etsugaie, among others.
