Farmer Governor Umaru Bago Approves Extension of 5km Mashegu LG Township road Project to 13km.

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Bago, has approved the extension of the ongoing 5 km Mashegu township road project to 13 km.
The Governor announced this during his visit to Igade Community in the Mashegu Local Government Area as part of his statewide project monitoring tour.
The project extension, which will extend from Igade in Mashegu to the Mariga cattle market, aims to boost socio-economic activities in the area and provide relief to the residents, who have faced significant challenges, particularly in the movement of goods and services.
Governor Bago also stated that his administration plans to construct healthcare centers and schools in areas where they are lacking, as well as renovate those that are dilapidated.
He commended the efforts of security personnel in combating banditry and other criminal activities in the region and reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing the safety of its citizens.
During the visit, the Governor inspected the new palace of the District Head of Mashegu and the renovated Mashegu Council Secretariat, where he praised the achievements of the Council Chairman.
Additionally, Governor Bago addressed the youth and women of the community, assuring them that his administration would ensure the provision of basic amenities in the area and encouraging them to remain agents of peace.
The Chairman of Mashegu Local Government Council, Umar Jibrin Igade, expressed that Governor Bago is a blessing to the people of Mashegu, noting that no previous Governor in the history of Niger State has ever constructed a road in Mashegu.
