Suspected terrorists kill 26 people and raid communities in Niger State
Suspected bandits have killed at least twenty-six (26) people. During an attack at Feyi community in Borgu local government area of Niger State, many houses were also burned.
Reliable sources say the criminals arrived in the community on many motorcycles, armed with sophisticated weapons, threatening and shooting sporadically to scare villagers from resisting.
Reports indicate the operations started in the early hours of Friday when attackers arrived at Feyi village, killing six people, and carried out their crimes without security interference.
The terrorists later moved to Tungan Makeri and Nkpaso villages, both in Konkoso ward of Borgu LGA, also early Saturday morning, killing about twenty more.Set featured image

They reportedly set the police station in Pissa on fire. However, they fled after hearing a helicopter approaching, after completing their activities.
Many residents of these communities and nearby villages have fled their ancestral homes for safety. They are calling on all levels of government to urgently intervene and protect them from continued attacks.
Sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that while on the run, the exact number of casualties and abducted victims remains unknown.
When contacted, Niger State Police Public Relations Officer SP Wasiu Abiodun was unavailable for comment at the time of this report.
