By Yahaya Zakka Minna.

The Niger State Governor, Muhammed Umar Bago, has lauded the Mudos Group for their generous donation of desks to Kuyambana Primary School in Minna.

Represented at the event by the Special Adviser on Print Media, Hon. Aisha Wakaso, the occasion marked the 40th anniversary celebration of the Mudos Group. The donation highlights the significance of corporate social responsibility—a topic often discussed but seldom practiced.

Mudos Group exemplifies leadership through this initiative, demonstrating that meaningful progress occurs when organizations actively engage with their communities.

Governor Bago emphasized that, although modest, the donation will significantly impact the children who will use the desks. It offers dignity, comfort, and societal recognition, which can positively influence educational outcomes. These efforts align with the priorities of the Niger State government.

The governor expressed sincere appreciation to Mudos Group for their dedication, noting that development extends beyond government efforts, adding that successful enterprises play a vital role in shaping a better society.

He further disclosed that Mudos Pharmacy in Minna exemplified this ethos by supporting Kuyambana School during the 40th anniversary celebration,The government commends their consistency, integrity, and community-minded approach.

Governor Umar Bago hopes this milestone inspires more organizations across the state to embrace corporate social responsibility. “We encourage others to follow your example in fostering the growth and development of our children, communities, and women.”

He also acknowledged organizations investing in the future of our children and thanked them for their commitment to future generations.

Earlier in his speech, the MD/CEO of Mudos Group,Pharm. Obinna Ogbue stated that as the group celebrates its 40th anniversary, it has decided to give back to their immediate community by donating fifty desks to Kuyambana Primary School in Minna, accompanied by the unveiling of a commemorative plaque.

He expressed pride in celebrating four decades of providing consistent, quality healthcare services to the people, highlighting the group’s humble beginnings with a single store and its growth into a chain pharmacy with interests beyond Niger State.

He expressed the hope that the donation will enhance the learning environment and conditions for the children, thereby positioning them for exceptional academic performance.

Additionally, he called on philanthropists and well-to-do individuals to support Kuyambana Primary School by donating desks or instructional materials to bolster education.

Hajiya Hawa Sani, the Head Teacher of Kuyambana Primary School, commended Mudos Group for their assistance, noting that it will significantly benefit the pupils.

She further appealed to local business leaders within the community to support the school with instructional materials, emphasizing that government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility of providing qualitative education to children.
