Comrade Sidi Umar Aliyu has been elected as the new State Chairman of the Nigerian Civil Service Union for the Niger State Council.
During his acceptance speech, Comrade Aliyu expressed heartfelt gratitude to the delegates for their trust and support, reaffirming his commitment to fulfilling their expectations. “I pledge to work tirelessly for the welfare and empowerment of our members,” he affirmed.
Aliyu outlined his vision for a strong and efficient union, dedicated to enhancing the professional development of its members while contributing meaningfully to the nation’s progress.
His key priorities include:
1.Training and Development: Implementing regular workshops to boost members’ skills and knowledge.
2. Member Welfare: Advocating for improved working conditions and safeguarding members’ rights.
3.Career Advancement: Supporting promotions and ensuring job security for union members.
4.Collaborative Partnerships : Engaging with organized labour to address workers’ concerns and promote industrial peace.
5.Transparent Leadership : Establishing an open-door policy to foster transparent communication and welcome feedback.
To achieve these objectives, Aliyu introduced a comprehensive action plan that includes forming a Welfare Committee, developing targeted training programs, and hosting regular town hall meetings to prioritize member issues.
“I am honored by this great responsibility and look forward to serving with dedication and passion,” he concluded.
This election marks a new chapter for the Nigerian Civil Service Union in Niger State, with Aliyu leading the way in advancing the interests of civil service members.
