Broad Daylight Robbery in Tunga Market, Minna.
Today, at approximately 8:45 AM, a broad daylight robbery occurred at the main bowl of Tunga Market in Minna. The assailants, described as unknown gunmen, made off with over eight million Naira from the victim.
The victim, Sale Samu Bwari, was driving a Mercedes-Benz when he was attacked by four armed men with AK-47 rifles. These assailants were in a light ash-colored Toyota Camry that blocked the victim.
Reports indicate that Bwari was robbed of more than eight million Naira while traveling from the old city gate entrance to Minna, where he was going to deposit the said money in the Bank.
In response to the incident, a statement from the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police, Niger State Command, announced that all police patrol teams were alerted for a quick intervention.
They will work to recover the stolen money and arrest the suspected armed robbers, he stated.
The Commissioner of Police has instructed the Area Commander of Minna and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Tudun-Wada Division to take immediate action and ensure a thorough forensic investigation is conducted to apprehend the culprits.
The victim has been advised to formally report the incident to the nearest police station in Minna.
