Minna Institute of Technology and Innovation Granted Polytechnic Status.

By Danladi Hassan Idris Minna.

The Niger State Government has officially amended the legislation establishing the Minna Institute of Technology and Innovation, allowing it to function as a full-fledged polytechnic.

This significant development was announced by the Provost of the institute, Engineer Doctor Mohammed Liman Yerima, in a statement released in Minna.

The amendment empowers the institute to offer National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programs, enhancing access to quality education and creating additional opportunities for young individuals to acquire essential skills and knowledge.

Engineer Yerima praised Governor Umar Bago for his unwavering commitment to transforming Niger State into a center for education, innovation, and economic advancement.

He noted that under the governor’s leadership, the state has made considerable progress across various sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, and infrastructure development.

“The management of the Minna Institute of Technology and Innovation is deeply appreciative of Governor Bago’s dedication to investing in educational infrastructure. His efforts have already begun to yield positive results, positioning Niger State on a path toward sustainable growth and development,” Yerima stated.

This achievement marks a pivotal moment in the state’s educational landscape, reflecting Governor Bago’s visionary leadership and his steadfast commitment to revitalizing the education sector for the benefit of the community and the economy.
