Gov. Bago donates 100 bags of rice, 10 cows to augment corps members feeding
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has donated 100 bags of rice and 10 cows to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in the state aimed to augment their feeding.
The donated items were received by the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Martina Shuaibu-Ibrahim, at the NYSC Niger State Permanent Orientation Camp.
This donation demonstrates Governor Bago’s commitment to supporting the welfare of NYSC members in Niger State.
The coordinator commended the kind gesture of Niger State government and the committment of the governor towards ensuring the welfare and well-being of corps members posted to the state.
She added that the gesture shows the state government commitment to ensuring welfare of corps members, enabling them to settle down and offer digiigent service in the state.
The corps members and camp officials expressed gratitude upon receiving the donated.
It will be recalled that the governor has in 2024 extended a similar gesture through the donation of 600 bags of rice and 20 cows to the NYSC members in the state.
In addition, the governor also approved the payment of N200,000 to each of the 1,600 corps members of the 2024 Batch B, Stream 1.
