Governor Umaru Bago Affirms Commitment to Effective Representation in Niger State.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to promoting effective representation throughout Niger State. This commitment was expressed during a recent interactive session with stakeholders from each federal constituency within the Niger North Senatorial District.
The purpose of the meeting was to engage with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders and address critical issues aimed at strengthening the party, fostering unity, and ensuring collective progress within the district.
In his address, Governor Bago provided an overview of ongoing projects within the senatorial district, emphasizing his commitment to launching additional initiatives that will facilitate rapid and sustainable development.
He encouraged elected officials and political appointees to continue collaborating with his administration in executing projects that align with its developmental goals.
Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, praised the governor for organizing such an important meeting and acknowledged the significant advancements made in the state under his leadership.
He also mentioned that the federal government plans to introduce additional agricultural policies nationwide, designating Niger State as a pilot area for implementation.
Representatives from four federal constituencies in Niger North—Abdullahi Idris Garba, Shehu Saleh Rijau, and Ja’afaru Mohammed—commended the previous governor for effective governance that has led to substantial developments throughout the state.
Additional stakeholders, including the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Barr. AbdulMalik Sarkin Daji, along with officials from the APC at national, state, and zonal levels, expressed their support for the governor’s ongoing efforts. They called for continued initiatives to ensure the party’s success in the upcoming elections.
The stakeholders from the Niger North Senatorial District subsequently endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago as the sole APC candidates for the presidency and governorship, respectively, in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
This meeting marked the conclusion of a series of interactive sessions with APC stakeholders across all three senatorial districts in the state, which included participants from the Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu, Magama/Rijau, and Agwara/Borgu constituencies.
