Tragic Accident Claims Four Lives in Niger State.

A tragic accident involving a Hummer bus and a Toyota Carina has resulted in the deaths of four individuals in the Farin Doki area along the Minna-Suleja road in Paikoro Local Government Area, Niger State.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred at approximately 10:00 AM on June 2, 2025, when a tire on the bus burst, leading to a head-on collision with the approaching Carina. The collision ultimately resulted in the fatalities of the occupants of the involved vehicles.
Reports indicate that the bus, which was traveling from Lagos to Zamfara State, was overloaded with both goods and passengers. Several other passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries and were promptly transported to a hospital in Minna for medical attention.
Among those affected was Dr. Abdullahi Jabi, the North Central Vice Chairman of the Campaign for Democracy and Human Rights Advocacy, who was driving the Toyota Carina. Dr. Jabi suffered a fracture to his right leg as well as other injuries.
A passenger in his vehicle also reported injuries. Local residents had to intervene to extinguish the fire that engulfed Dr. Jabi’s vehicle following the collision.
Efforts to reach the Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, for an official statement were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
