Defence Minister Advocates for Private Sector Investment in Nigeria’s Defence Industries at NACCIMA AGM.

On Thursday, June 19, 2025, the Minister of Defence, Hon. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, attended the 65th Annual General Meeting/Conference and Investiture Ceremony for the 23rd National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), held at the Banquet Hall in Ilorin, Kwara State.
During his address, the Minister urged members of the Association to explore and invest in Nigeria’s defence industries, highlighting the significant reforms currently taking place in the sector under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
He emphasized the crucial role that the private sector plays in bolstering national defence capabilities through local production, innovation, and strategic collaborations.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Senator John Owan Enoh, the Minister of State for Industry, Trade, and Investment, who represented the President; Dr. Olajumoke Oduwole, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, who chaired the conference; Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice; and Mr. Kayode Alabi, the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, representing the Governor.
