He noted the long-standing cordial relationship between the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) and the FRSC, assuring that this relationship will be strengthened and sustained.
The AGF acknowledged the significant responsibility the FRSC has in safeguarding lives on Nigerian roads and emphasized that the Treasury will prioritize all FRSC requests.
He assured that funds for their allocations and entitlements will be released promptly.
“Your officers and men are always on the road trying to keep it safe. The Treasury will continue to support the FRSC. I want to assure you that every aspect of your requests and needs will receive prompt attention,” he stated.
Mr. Ogunjimi commended the officers and personnel of the FRSC for their dedication to duty despite various challenges and urged them not to relent in their efforts.
Earlier, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Shehu Mohammed, expressed gratitude to the AGF for the visit and acknowledged the support received from the OAGF.
He remarked that road safety has become a global agenda and emphasized that the FRSC will remain committed to ensuring safety on Nigerian roads.
