NSCDC NIGER STATE COMMAND VISITS MOKWA TO SYMPATHIZE WITH FLOOD VICTIMS
The Niger State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Comdt. Adamu Abdullahi Kambra fcai, fiifs, led a delegation to Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State to commiserate with the traditional ruler, Alhaji Shaba Aliyu, the Ndalile of Mokwa, and the victims of the recent flood disaster.
Comdt. Kambra expressed sympathy with the affected families and communities, acknowledging the devastating impact of the disaster on lives and properties.
The Commandant conveyed the deepest sympathies of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni, OFR,* to the families of the deceased and those affected by the disaster.
Comdt. Kambra highlighted the NSCDC’s historical role in search and rescue operations and reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to supporting affected communities.
The Commandant assessed the level of damage caused by the flood and noted the destruction of homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods. Following the incident, Comdt. Kambra instructed the Area “J” Command of the NSCDC to maintain 24-hour surveillance in Mokwa to ensure the safety and security of the affected communities.
