CAN Extends Heartfelt Condolences to Flood-Affected Communities in Mokwa.
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Niger State chapter has expressed profound sympathy to the residents of Mokwa, who have suffered significant losses due to recent devastating floods.
In a statement released to journalists on Sunday, the State Chairman, Most Rev. Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, conveyed solidarity and support on behalf of the Christian community in the state.
“Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families who have lost loved ones, and we stand in solidarity with all those impacted by this disaster,” stated Bishop Yohanna, who also serves as the Catholic Bishop of the Kontagora Diocese.
He commended both federal and state governments for their prompt action in mobilizing relevant agencies to provide necessary assistance to the affected communities.
Bishop Yohanna encouraged residents to remain optimistic and proactive as they navigate the recovery process, emphasizing the importance of resilience during this challenging time.
“While we continue our prayers for you, we urge you to stay hopeful and work together towards rebuilding Mokwa,” he stated.
