Governor Umar Bago Marks Two Years of Transformative Leadership in Niger State.

The Ministry of Information and Strategy has convened a press briefing to celebrate the second year anniversary of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s administration in Niger State. This event underscores the commitment to transparent communication and public awareness regarding government initiatives.
During her address, Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Hon. Binta Mamman, emphasized the vital role of the media as a bridge between the government and its citizens. “Clear and consistent communication is essential for transparency and accountability,” she stated, highlighting the government’s efforts to engage the public effectively.
Reflecting on the administration’s bold vision set forth two years ago, Hon. Mamman noted that significant progress has been made in transforming Niger State into a modern, economically vibrant, and socially inclusive entity.
She acknowledged Governor Bago’s exemplary leadership and hands-on approach, driven by a dedication to performance and community welfare.
Key achievements under Governor Bago’s leadership include:
1. Urban Renewal and Infrastructure Development. Initiatives are underway for extensive road construction and urban remodeling across all 25 local government areas, including Minna, Suleja, Bida, and Kontagora.
2. Healthcare Improvements. The administration has commenced the construction of 100 standard primary healthcare centers, with 20 completed and operational. Plans to enhance tertiary healthcare facilities and increase health personnel underscore a strong commitment to addressing the state’s healthcare needs.
3.Advancements in Education .the Governor is Aiming to position Niger State as an educational hub, the government has made significant investments in infrastructure, classroom furniture, and teacher welfare, have also employed more Teachers.
4.Agricultural Initiatives .As a farmer, Governor Bago has prioritized agricultural transformation, promoting mechanized farming and revitalizing key agricultural value chains. Targeted programs have empowered countless young individuals with necessary skills for self-reliance.
