FG Offers N5 Million Reward for Recapture of Escaped Ilesa Prison Inmates

The Federal Government has announced a N5 million cash reward for information leading to the recapture of seven inmates who escaped from the Medium Custodial Centre in Ilesa, Osun State, on Tuesday.
DCC Abubakar Umar, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), made this announcement in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja.
He stated, “To encourage public participation, the Nigerian Correctional Service is offering a reward of N5 million to anyone who provides useful information that leads to the recapture of the fleeing inmates from the Medium Custodial Centre in Ilesa, Osun State.
“The Service urges members of the public to report any information they may have regarding the whereabouts of the inmates at large to the nearest security agency. All information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and anonymity.”
