Niger State Set to Launch Air Transport Operations at Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has announced that air traffic is set to commence at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna by April this year.
Governor Bago made this revelation during a courtesy visit from the son of President Seyi Tinubu, along with the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, and Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo, CEO of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, at the Government House in Minna.
The Governor highlighted that commercial air transport operations will initially link Lagos to Minna on a daily basis, with plans to extend services to Kano by June. He emphasized that a fleet of ten aircraft is anticipated to operate from the airport, including two dedicated cargo planes for transporting goods to Brazil and Saudi Arabia.
Describing the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport as a pioneering development in Nigeria, Governor Bago noted that the airport’s cargo and Hajj terminals are significant initiatives aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of local residents.
