Niger State House of Assembly Urges Newly Recruited Constables to Uphold Police Standards at Passing Out Parade.

By Our Correspondent.

The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr. Abdulmalik Mohammad Sarkin-Daji, emphasized the importance of adhering to the rules and regulations of the Nigeria Police Force during the passing out parade for 454 newly recruited constables from the 2022 intake.

The event, held at the Police Training School in Minna, was graced by the representation of the Governor, Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago.

In his address, Speaker Sarkin-Daji commended the gender-inclusive recruitment initiative led by the Inspector General of Police, which saw female recruits comprising 35% of the total intake—a significant milestone for the force.

He congratulated the recruits on their dedication and the skills they acquired during their six-month training, encouraging them to serve with commitment and integrity in their roles.

He also extended gratitude to the Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of IGP Kayode Egbetotun for their ongoing commitment to the safety and security of citizens.

The Speaker underscored the government’s unwavering support for the police, urging the recruits to embody the values of obedience and dedication in their service to Niger State and the nation.

Representing the Inspector General, AIG Benneth C. Igweh praised the collective support from the Niger State government and highlighted the significance of this event in the broader context of police recruitment across Nigeria.

He encouraged the recruits to remain steadfast in their professional conduct and to uphold the principles of the force as they embark on their careers as police officers.
