Governor Umaru Bago Commits to Completing Sakin Pawan -Kaduna road.

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has pledged to complete the Sarkin Pawa-Kaduna road project soon.
He made this commitment during a meeting with stakeholders from the Munya local government area in Sarkin Pawa, following an inspection of the ongoing 5 km road project at the local government headquarters. This visit was part of his efforts to monitor state projects.
Governor Bago emphasized that the completion of the Sarkin Pawa-Kaduna road will significantly reduce travel times between Niger and Kaduna States.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work on the project and urged local stakeholders to encourage cooperation among property owners affected by the construction. He assured them that compensation for those impacted would be disbursed soon.
Highlighting the relative peace in the local government area, the farmer Governor reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the security of lives and properties in the region.
He also promised to upgrade Primary Healthcare initiatives in the area, which would include improvements to road infrastructure and the establishment of fire service stations, as well as the elevation of Primary Healthcare facilities to Level 2 centers.
Bago encouraged residents to take advantage of the peaceful environment to engage in agricultural activities, aligning with the state’s agricultural revolution.
Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, representing the Niger East Senatorial District, expressed confidence that the Bago-led administration would complete the road project efficiently.
He mentioned that the Governor has also directed the installation of solar-powered streetlights along the roadway to enhance safety and visibility.
Local leaders, including Aminu Nagume, Chairman of Munya Local Government Council, Barr. Maurice Magaji, Commissioner for Lands and Survey, and Mr. Peterson Kaura, thanked Governor Bago for his dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities, which has led to increased peace and development.
They recognized Munya’s potential for food production due to its vast land and urged the governor to revive the railway in the area to facilitate the movement of goods and services, given the presence of four rail stations within the local government.
Residents of Sarkin Pawa expressed their appreciation for the Governor’s visit and the notable achievements of his administration in security, agriculture, infrastructure, and more. They prayed for the continuation of progress in his governance.
